MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP - DOING ITS PART 

At their public meeting on Monday, February 22nd the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a five-year contract with Constellation Energy for electricity generation for its buildings and streetlights. 

What makes this contract so desirable is the electricity provided will be from 100% green sources.  This choice reflects the Board’s continuing commitment to setting a standard for sustainable practices. 

The Township was recognized as a Gold Certified Sustainable Community by the Pennsylvania Municipal League in 2018.  More information can be found here.
