It’s time to start the conversation with the “Talk. They Hear You.” campaign.
Montgomery County, PA Family Services has recently announced this important community initiative as a way to motivate parents/guardians to talk to the youth in their life about substance abuse. Through a grant the County received, two committee mobilizers will be working with county school districts and their communities to implement prevention plans to decrease substance use, improve mental health outcomes, engage community coalitions, and implement strategies for change.
Montgomery County has provided the Township with yard signs for our parks/facilities to help raise awareness and stress the importance of talking to the youth in our community. Yard signs will be posted by next week, and we encourage residents who spot the signs to take a photo and share this important message on social media.
