Keeping your trees and shrubs around your nearby sidewalks and streets trimmed is extremely important for the community.

Here’s Why:

  • Hanging trees and shrubs create a hazardous environment for families walking, running, or biking through.
  • Hanging trees and shrubs slow down many important Township duties such as street sweeping and plowing.

Please allow for a safe and smooth running community by maintaining your trees and shrubs.

2003 Property Maintenance Code: All sidewalks, walkways, stairs, driveways, parking spaces, and similar areas shall be kept in a proper state of repair, and maintained free from hazardous conditions, such as overhanging limbs into the sidewalk area maintaining a minimum clearance of 8 feet above the walking surface and minimum 18 feet clearance above the street.
