Montgomery Township was excited to announce that the LED Streetlight Conversion project (offered to us through the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Streetlight Procurement Program) was underway this past May. The conversion was recently completed by Keystone Lighting Solutions (KLS), but it has been discovered that some of these new LED streetlights are not working properly. Some of the streetlights are not turning on, while others remain on at all times.

KLS has informed the Township that they believe the issue is a result of faulty sensors, and will replace all of the streetlight sensors within the Township.

Montgomery Township is one of a few municipalities undergoing this conversion and experiencing this same issue. Due to the size of our Township, we have requested that KLS replace the streetlight sensors in the smaller municipalities first. This way, we can confidently begin the process of replacing the sensors on our many streetlights within our larger municipality, knowing that this is the proper solution. It is important to Montgomery Township that we make sure this new and unexpected phase of the project, will be the final phase of the project.

We understand this is an inconvenience to our residents, and ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to work with KLS. Once the new phase is underway, we will notify the community on the Township’s Facebook, website, and E-News. We look forward to the completion of this project, and providing the community with safe and energy efficient LED streetlights.
