Right to Know & Open Records

Right-To-Know Law

Act 3 of 2008 is Pennsylvania's new Right-To-Know Law. On December 15, 2008, the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 9 that enacted the Right-to-Know Township Policy.  It establishes the procedure by which Montgomery Township will address requests made to it for records under the Right-To-Know Law which took effect January 1, 2009. More information on the law can be found at the Commonwealth's Office of Open Records.

Right-to-Know Policy

The Montgomery Township Right-to-Know Policy ensures compliance with Act 3, provides access to public records, preserves the integrity of Township records and minimizes the financial impact to the citizens requesting public records.
