About This LocationMemorial GroveMemorial Grove is a quiet and reflective area for all residents to remember loved ones. The park was conceived following the tragic events of September 11, 2001 when a member of the Township Shade Tree Commission lost his son at the World Trade Center. The sundial stands 10 feet tall with a diameter of 15 feet. It is constructed of silicon bronze framed in stainless steel. The design of dove silhouettes flying complements the peaceful, natural setting. Roman Numerals are installed in the concrete ring around the sundial. The straight side of the arrow indicates the time of day. Korean War Memorial America-Korea Alliance Peace Park @ Memorial GroveThe monument and peace park is meant to honor the veterans who have served in Korea while deepening the ties between the Republic of Korea and the United States of America by providing a site for reflection and cultural activities. Montgomery Township was suggested as the site of the memorial and park because of the roughly 45,000 residents of Korean background living in Montgomery County, which make up roughly 10 percent of Montgomery Township and several neighboring municipalities.
