Memorial Day Montgomery Tour
Event Description:
Montgomery Township is making sure veterans receive the proper recognition and celebration they deserve this Memorial Day, despite the hardships COVID-19 has brought to the community.
On Monday, May 25, the Montgomery Township Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, and Volunteer Medical Services Corps of Lansdale will be taking some of our very own veterans who reside in the Township on a special tour through Montgomery Township neighborhoods.
Not only will this be a special and safe way to recognize those who have served and remember our fallen heroes, it will also be a fun opportunity for children to see a police car, fire truck, ambulance, construction vehicle, and of course honor their local veterans.
The Memorial Day Montgomery Tour will go from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and then again from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Montgomery Township will be organizing the Memorial Day Montgomery Tour with safety at the forefront of the event. Therefore, residents will be notified when the tour will be entering their neighborhood on the Township's Facebook and Twitter pages so you can enjoy it from your front yard, while practicing proper social distancing. If you are not on social media, we encourage you to listen for the sirens!
Follow any of the social media pages below to be notified when the tour will be coming your way and also to learn all about the participating veterans.
