Right-To-Know Law
Act 3 of 2008 is Pennsylvania's new Right-To-Know Law. On December 15, 2008, the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2008-9 which establishes the procedure by which Montgomery Township will address requests made to it for records under the Right-To-Know Law which took effect January 1, 2009. The purpose of Montgomery Township's Open Records Policy and Act 3 is to provide access to public records of Montgomery Township, to preserve the integrity of the records of Montgomery Township, and to minimize the financial impact to the citizens requesting public records. Requests for Records
Requests may be submitted in person, by mail, by e-mail, or by fax. All requests must be in writing on the Township's Record Request Form. Arrangements can be made for documents to be viewed at no charge during regular office hours, Monday through Friday.
