Background

The North Penn Area 5 Site was added to the Superfund program's National Priority List in March 1989 and is one of twelve Sites with groundwater contamination within the North Penn Water Authority ("NPWA") service district in Montgomery and Bucks Counties. North Penn Area 5 is located in the vicinity of Colmar and Hatfield Township, Pennsylvania in the eastern part of Montgomery County, with a portion of the Site extending into Bucks County.
