Communications
Provides the Police Department with radio, telephone, and computer communications with the public, other local law enforcement agencies, and various Emergency Service providers (Fire, Ambulance, Rescue, etc.).
Communications also provides the Police Department direct telecommunications with the Pennsylvania State Police and Federal law enforcement agencies through the CLEAN, NCIC, and other Information Systems. Additionally, telecommunications with international law enforcement agencies is available through INTERPOL.
Police communications have recently been enhanced by the upgrading of Mobile Data Computers (MDCs) in all patrol vehicles.
