Producers wishing to conduct or continue to conduct any form of amusement must first make application for a permanent, temporary or itinerant amusement permit. All permits for permanent places of amusement expire on December 31st. A temporary permit is good for one week, or a permit fee for an annual permit, good for the then current calendar year. Itinerant producers are eligible for temporary permits only.

A tax is imposed upon all manner and forms of entertainment which takes place within the jurisdiction of Montgomery Township. This includes concerts, carnivals, exhibitions, athletic contests, games, golf driving and miniature golf ranges, country clubs, sport exhibitions were a monetary charge of any form is obtained from the general public. It is the responsibility of the producers to collect the tax as agents of the township and remit to the Business Tax Administrator.

Tax Rate: 5% of the established price charged
Comment: No tax is to be collected on the admissions of children under the age of 12 - exemption does not apply to coin operated video games or miniature golf.
Type: Permanent - Golf Course
Due Date: 10th of each month
Tax Rate: 10% of 40% of total green fees
Comment: Green fees include all the costs of admission to the golf course.
Type: Temporary or Itinerant
Due Date: After each performance
Tax Rate: 5% of the established price charged
Comment: One week permits
