PA Stormwater Coalition

The Pennsylvania Stormwater Coalition was formed to take action on proposed new stormwater regulations by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).  The Coalition consists of fifty seven (57) municipalities located in Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Berks Counties representing a population of over 640,000 residents.

Formed in September 2010, the Coalition has been working to educate local municipalities along with Federal, State, and Local Elected Officials on the heavy burden that is expected to be placed on local governments throughout the Commonwealth with the implementation of new EPA stormwater quality and quantity regulations that will go into effect by March 2013.

Thanks to the support from our municipal members. The Coalition has had the power of numbers and continues to be recognized as an important 'stakeholder' in this program.  We are continually being recruited to attend and provide input at important regional meetings on stormwater management issues.  Our strength continues to be our cooperative and firm support for a MS4 and TMDL program that is reasonable, responsible and attainable.
